JOB TITLE: Officer 2 – Investigation Job Opportunity at Geita Gold Mine

GGML – Geita Gold Mining Ltd (GGML)

Reporting to: General Investigator.

Number of Positions: One (1)

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

To professionally investigate and handle any occurrences on the mine site according to security and corporate guidelines. To assist the mine with proactive action to any threats and situations before they arise, to ensure that police and court cases are followed up on, to provide updates to the superior recruit, and to fortify the informant network.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Secondary education up to and including regular.
  2. Training in basic security will be beneficial as well.

EXPERIENCE:

A minimum of 3 years of experience in Investigation duties, especially in the gold mining industry.

MAIN OR KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  1. Respect for the Security Golden Rules and observance of safety regulations.
  2. Observe VPSHR
  3. Create a charge sheet, docket, and complaint forms.
  4. Any criminal investigation, including those involving theft, misbehavior, etc.
  5. We are assembling data and supporting documentation.
  6. Participate in labor cases, CMAs, court cases, and disciplinary hearings.
  7. In situations involving the mine, communicate with government and police representatives.
  8. Participate in investigations after hours and report updates to the responsible section.
  9. I am keeping track of security events and reporting them to the chief investigator.
  10. Create an informant network inside and outside GGM property lines to help GGM security prevent losses and proactively make arrests.
  11. Any information gleaned from informants should be reported.
  12. When appropriate, help the intelligence specialist expand the informant network.
  13. Assume statements from witnesses and suspects and keep cases open.
  14. Reduce crime on-site by using professional inquiry methods.
  15. Reward the informants with the correct protocols.
  16. Determine possible loss procedures and address them.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Conversant in all methods of inquiry.
  2. Knowledgeable about computers; proficient in Word, Excel, and Microsoft Word.
  3. Proficiency in written English and the capacity to produce concise, insightful investigation reports.
  4. Taking statements and interrogating witnesses and offenders.
  5. I can operate a light vehicle as I have a driver's license.
  6. The capacity to work unsupervised.
  7. Presentation abilities
  8. Capacity to keep things private.

JOB TITLE: Superintendent 2 – Social & Economic Development

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

To organize and carry out the work necessary to accomplish the goals of the Socioeconomic Development project practically by putting agreed-upon AGA policies, work procedures, and standards into practice; building a competent, competent, and driven team; and creating an efficient system for keeping track of adherence to plans, procedures, and standards.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. A bachelor's degree in business administration, development studies, community development, or social sciences.
  2. Must possess a current driver's license from Tanzania.

  2. Responsible for ensuring that the AGA's Community Investment Guidelines and government plans comply with all suggestions for CSR development initiatives and project plans.

CSR projects technical evaluation, scoping, and guidance:

  1. Responsible for ensuring that the work execution plan, regulations, and procedures create the scope of work, bills of quantities, and technical evaluation for approved CSR projects.
  2. Putting CSR projects into action:
  3. Responsible for ensuring that the work execution plan is followed during the execution of all CSR projects.

MAIN OR KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  1. Responsible for overseeing the creation of work plans for each procedure.
  2. Responsible for building a capable group of direct reports.
  3. Accountable for ensuring that the standard of work is followed and for producing authorized work plans for each process.
  4. Responsible for developing and implementing auditing standards and procedures to verify adherence to AGA guidelines and regulations.
  5. Responsible for delivering the predetermined work plans and results and locating non-compliance or non-conformance areas.
  6. I am in charge of assessing and enhancing the team members' adherence to the established work standards and work plans, deciding what needs to be done to prevent detected non-compliance from happening again, and communicating concerns and solutions to the Senior Manager of Sustainability.
  7. I am responsible for creating and delivering accurate reports on time to internal and external stakeholders while adhering to the established work standards.
