Responsibilities
- Make sure that safe work practices are followed, including obligatory safety meetings and training, the use of PPE as needed, incident and accident reporting, and strict adherence to all applicable laws, rules, and regulations pertaining to occupational health, safety, and the environment.
- Adhere to all maintenance protocols and guarantee that mechanical tasks are completed in a standard manner, taking care not to further harm any parts, systems, or equipment.
- In order to maintain Plant & Mobile equipment safely and effectively and meet production and cost targets, perform mechanical repair and preventative maintenance.
- Corrective maintenance, fault-finding, and troubleshooting are used to address unanticipated equipment outages.
- Make sure maintenance procedures yield the highest possible level of equipment availability.
- To ascertain job requirements, such as job sheets, quality, quantity of materials/resources, etc., use the work instructions.
- By conducting PM inspections, you may ensure that preventative maintenance is carried out in compliance with maintenance requirements.
- We upgraded and modified both plant and mobile equipment as needed.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Ordinary secondary education (Form IV)
- Trade-certified Fitter, FTC IMTT or VETA
- A valid Tanzanian Driving Licence.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Working on Sandvik mechanized mining equipment for a minimum of three years.
- exposure to operating automated underground mining machinery.
SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:
- exceptional coordination, agility, and mechanical aptitude
- Capacity to make associated reports and maintain records of repairs, time, and parts utilized when maintaining heavy-duty, specialty automotive equipment.
- a great deal of expertise and proficiency in troubleshooting the different pieces of equipment.
- It is essential to be able to identify errors and quickly fix them.
- Excellent communication skills in English and Swahili; proficiency with jacks and hoists and other automated tools

Responsibilities
- Make sure that safe work practices are followed, such as obligatory attendance at safety courses and meetings, the use of required personal protective equipment (PPE), incident and accident reporting, and strict adherence to all applicable environmental, occupational health, and safety policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Observe all maintenance guidelines and make sure that mechanical tasks are completed as per the norm, avoiding additional damage to any parts, systems, or equipment.
- Make sure that all equipment is isolated, follow the guidelines for working in confined spaces and at heights, and do pre-start inspections and checks.
- In order to operate plant and mobile equipment safely and effectively and meet production and cost targets, perform mechanical repairs and preventative maintenance.

Qualification requirements
- Form IV Auto Electrical Trade Certificate is the ordinary level certificate (FTC, IMTT, and VETA)

Experience and competencies needed.
Experience with subterranean equipment maintenance
- Three years of HD Auto-Electrician experience is necessary. Mechanical understanding of heavy equipment is also needed.
Skills/knowledge requirements:
- Repair and diagnose electrical systems in automobiles.
- Finding electrical and electronic problems with test equipment.
- tearing down and taking apart electrical and electronic assemblies and parts.
- able to put knowledge of engines, chassis, and vehicle electronics to use.
- Install parts such as lights, turn signals, horns, alternators, and starter motors.
- Maintain battery and charging system functionality.
- Examine and evaluate electrical components and connections.
