JOB OVERVIEW

Hope Holdings operates various businesses in the city of Dar es Salaam, such as Papparoti Restaurant, the famous carpet supermarket called Amal Carperts Mlimani City and FLO, Bottega Verde, Flormar, Skechers, Defacto and LC Waikiki stores, has announced 450 vacancies. Jobs for various young Tanzanians.

The company's statement to the media said that there are two types of jobs with the 450 positions: Sales Officers and the second one for Cashiers, where one of the applicants' qualifications is that they should be between 30 and 40 years old.

Other characteristics of the Applicants are that they have a diploma or degree in business, marketing, sales, or any certificate compatible with business and that they can talk with Customers and cooperate well with their colleagues.

JOB TITLE: Sales Officers ( 400 Positions)

We are looking to employ a sales-driven and customer-oriented sales officer to oversee our sales team and determine the most effective solutions to increase company sales. The sales officer's responsibilities include:

  • suggesting adjustments to the present sales tactics.
  • Notify current and prospective clients about corporate promotions.  
  • Preparing accurate sales and expense reports.

You should also continually be able to identify new sales opportunities through customer referrals.

To be successful as a sales officer, you should be persuasive and knowledgeable of industry regulations. An outstanding sales officer should have a strong work ethic and consistently demonstrate exceptional communication, negotiation, and customer service skills.

Sales Officer Responsibilities:

  • We are developing and sustaining long-lasting relationships with customers.
  • Screening, recruiting, and training sales employees.
  • They are making calls to prospective clients in an effort to promote sales and provide product explanations.
  • addressing consumer inquiries and, if necessary, forwarding complicated problems to the appropriate departments.

JOB TITLE: Cashiers (50 Positions)

Job brief

We are looking for a Cashier to manage all customer transactions accurately and efficiently.

A cashier's duties include taking payments, providing receipts, packaging gifts, and monitoring all credit and cash transactions. You should have prior customer service experience and a solid understanding of cash register operation in order to succeed in this capacity. Additionally, you should occasionally be available to work weekends and evening shifts.

In the end, you'll make sure everything goes as planned and assist us in maximizing client happiness.  

Responsibilities

  • To manage customer transactions, use cash registers.
  • Check products to ensure the pricing is accurate.
  • Collect funds, using cash or credit.  
  • Provide tickets, refunds, receipts, and change.
  • Use coupons and stamps to redeem
  • Introduce new products and engage in cross-selling
  • Address client concerns, offer advice, and deliver pertinent data
  • As consumers enter or exit the store, greet them.
  • Keep the checkout areas neat and orderly.
  • Keep an eye on balance sheet transactions and identify any inconsistencies.  
  • Bag, box, or gift-wrap packages
  • Handle merchandise returns and exchanges

Requirements and skills

  • Experience working as a retail cashier or in a related sales position
  • Basic proficiency with PCs and familiarity with electronic devices, such as POS systems and cash registers  
  • Good math skills
