Job Title: Senior Manager – Talent Management

BASIC PURPOSE:
Ensures the organisation recruits and employs top talent quickly, efficiently, and affordably while promoting inclusive and diverse recruiting practices as the leader of the talent management division. The function includes creating and executing talent management programs to boost employees' talents, with an emphasis on attracting, developing, and retaining high-performing personnel. Furthermore, this person will be responsible for developing and implementing HR strategies that are in line with the company's objectives, which will help boost productivity within the department, foster a performance-driven culture, and contribute to the company's overall success.
Main duties & responsibilities:
Talent Acquisition:
• To improve the company's chances of acquiring and retaining talent, it is important to source and attract applicants through numerous channels, implement new sourcing techniques and procedures, and provide a consistent and good candidate experience.
• Evaluating applicant fit through conducting interviews and administering evaluations.
• Boosting the company's reputation and attracting top people through employer branding.
• Achieving and surpassing hiring standards in terms of time to fill, cost per hire, diversity hiring, and applicant and hiring manager satisfaction through the establishment and management of team objectives.
Onboarding and Integration:
Creating a systematic onboarding procedure to acquaint new hires with the norms and expectations of the employment.
Oversees the entire employee onboarding and offboarding process, making sure it adheres to bank policies.
Providing managers and supervisors with practical help and direction during the whole hiring process, including arranging the probationary review with team leaders.
Giving the essential guidance and instruction in the beginning.
Employee Development:
Recognising the unique abilities and areas for growth of each employee.
Supervise the creation of the company's Learning Academy and its strategy and framework for employee growth and learning.
Create yearly training plans and a training calendar that align with company objectives and meet all applicable regulations.
Enhancing abilities through implementing training programs, mentoring efforts, and coaching activities.
Developing leadership skills, guiding employees in their professional growth, and keeping top performers on staff by providing them with opportunities for coaching, mentoring, networking, talent rotation, and secondment are all part of a comprehensive talent management program.
Succession Planning:
Identifying potential future leaders within the organization.
Developing targeted development plans for high-potential employees.
Talent Analytics and Reporting:
Tracking key talent metrics to measure the effectiveness of talent management strategies.
Researching and analysing data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Qualifications, skills, and experience:
Qualifications:
• In-depth knowledge of the Tanzania labour market and commercial banks working environment.
• Excellent knowledge of recruitment procedures and record keeping.
• A business acumen partnered with a dedication to legality.
• Diligent with outstanding planning abilities.
• An analytical mind able to “see” the complexities of procedures and regulations.
• Excellent communication skills.
Education:
Bachelor’s in human resources, business administration, or related field. A master’s degree from a
A reputable institution will be an added advantage.
Experience:
• At least 8+ years of experience in a human resources field, which should have been in a senior management capacity in a highly competitive and dynamic environment.
• Proven track record of consistently supporting the achievement of an organization’s people
strategy, with a market reputation of being a trusted advisor on matters pertaining to HR.
