Job Description
Coca-Cola Kwanza Ltd has an exciting opportunity in the Manufacturing Department. We are looking for a talented individual with the relevant skills and experience in manufacturing for a plant engineer position, which will be based in Dar es Salaam. The successful candidate will report directly to the manufacturing manager.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Propagate the plant's implementation of the CCK Asset Management Strategy
Assist the team in achieving their goals by providing strategic direction and technical support in the areas of asset management framework, technology, and strategy.
Encourage the systematic application of established procedures throughout the facility.
Make sure that all strategies and the Asset Care Philosophy are followed.
Care for Assets
Assist in formulating the packaging plant's asset care plan by offering recommendations, thoughts, and guidance.
Put the Packaging plant's asset care plan into action.
Make that the team is developing its asset care competencies.
Integrate asset care goals into team and individual objectives.
Oversee the plant's Original Equipment Manufacturer Supplier Partnering Programme (OEM SPP) and keep an eye on Service Agreements
Always follow the Engineering Change Management Procedures
Manage the packaging plant's asset care expenses within budget.
Make a plan for the plant's maintenance expenditure
Dependability of Plants
I am fully responsible for ensuring that the packing facility and its maintenance routines run smoothly and reliably.
Supervise the group as they resolve technical issues and provide engineering support to the production teams that work in shifts.
Back the enhancement of packaging performance
Verify the proper execution of predictive maintenance methods.
Carry out maintenance outages in accordance with the established plans.
Get all engineering changes implemented and make sure maintenance packages are up-to-date.
The functionality of the maintenance systems should be confirmed.
Check the plant's reliability to make sure everything is running well and to spot issues or opportunities quickly.
Take part in resolving maintenance issues.
Optimization of Plants
Take part in and oversee optimization experiments or projects pertaining to the central office plant.
Ensure that all plant modifications and alterations are approved after carefully evaluating the impact of new plants and equipment.
Locate potential areas of plant performance improvement by analyzing collected data, and then begin to assess these areas.
Determine the reasons of repeated failures and analyze the types of plant failure to fix the underlying issues.
Assist the production teams or engineering support in assessing potential areas for continuous improvement.
Make sure that remedial actions are handled appropriately by developing and implementing PIMs/POMs for every machine.
Include a focus on continuous improvement in the Packaging Engineering team's goal-setting process and revisit these objectives on a frequent basis.
Management and Leadership of Teams
Direct the group in setting objectives and making sure everyone is on the same page.
Direct the group while they complete TRACC testing, competency evaluations, and skill building exercises (CAP).
Establish a routine of frequent one-on-ones, performance reviews, and team goal review sessions to foster a high-performance culture.
Make sure you assess your team's training needs and create individualized programs for their development.
Precaution and Cleaning
Make sure the crew follows all applicable safety and housekeeping protocols and laws while they work.
Make sure the relevant CCBA and laws (such the OSH Act) on cleanliness and safety are being followed (5S).
Incorporate all required and statutory inspections into the asset care management system, carry them out, and document your findings.
Regular checks and audits, along with suitable monthly or quarterly meetings, should guarantee that health, safety, and cleanliness receive the attention they need.
Knowledge, Professionalism, and Schooling
No less than eight years of technical and leadership experience in a fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) setting is required of the incumbent, in addition to a degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering and certification as a skilled artisan. Proven honesty, excellent analytical abilities, strong communication skills, and leadership potential.
