New Job Vacancy at Exim Bank Tanzania - March 2025

JOB TITLE: Branch Manager

INTRODUCTION

Exim Bank Tanzania is a major financial institution that serves individuals, SMEs, and corporations with commercial banking services. Taking into consideration an exchange rate of 2,322/45 per US dollar, the bank's total assets were valued at TSh 1.372 trillion (US$590.3 million) as of December 2021, with shareholders' equity at TSh 170.843 billion (US$73.6 million), as stated in the annual report that was published on the bank's website. After Tanzania's economy was liberalised in 1997, a group of businessmen there established EBT. Within its first five months of operation, it supposedly turned a profit. [6] The Comoros, Djibouti, and Uganda were all reported as fully owned banking subsidiaries of EBT as of November 2019. As of March 2016, it had subsidiaries outside of Tanzania, making it the first indigenous Tanzanian bank to do so. The bank formed the Exim Bank (East Africa) Group, a regional banking and financial services organisation, in April 2010 after receiving authorisation from the Bank of Tanzania to set up subsidiaries in Djibouti and Zambia. After rebranding as Exim Bank (Uganda) Limited in March 2016, EBT bought out 58.6% of Imperial Bank (Uganda) Limited. [8] Exim Bank Tanzania took over United Bank Tanzania Limited's operations and assets in November 2019. United Bank Limited is a Pakistani bank with a Tanzanian affiliate. The combined assets of Exim Bank Tanzania and First National Bank of Tanzania reached TSh 2.4 trillion (US$1.033 billion) in July 2022.
