JOB TITLE: Stores Manager

CVPeople Tanzania | Full time

MAIN PURPOSE

By means of ensuring that the customer is at the core of everything we do, that all selling, promotional, and operational initiatives and processes are effectively implemented and executed in a sustainable manner, and by means of identification, development and coaching, and retention of a highly competent and energised store team, who takes ownership and accountability for their business, so delivering individual store sales growth and profitability targets.

JOB ROLES

  • Guaranteeing constant forecasting and financial plan adjustments in line with store performance will help to drive profitability by making sure important profit drivers fall within budget.
    Control expenses within allocated budgets.
    By means of good self-assessment, guarantee compliance in internal controls, thereby reducing risk and providing operational excellence.
    Share, educate, apply, maintain pertinent policies, systems, and procedures inside the store to produce the necessary results.

    Perform reconciliations to stop financial loss—that is, system faults and voucher reconciliations.

    Handle records, data integrity, retention, HR administrative control.
    Make sure the pertinent paperwork is finished and kept in line with legal criteria.
    Track legislative attendance records, then counsel a line manager on non-compliance.
    Guarantee timely and accurate payroll filing.
    Weekly and monthly ensure completion and submission of trading HR reports.
    Plan the uniform ordering and issuance, name badge printing, swipe card issuing.
    Sort all diagnostic reports to guarantee perfect financial reconciliation.
    Timely recording of cash transactions helps to ensure cash control, therefore reducing loss and offering correct information delivery.
    Calculate and evaluate financial performance to guide decisions; drive output in line with established goals.

Drive trading

  • Constantly seek opportunities within and outside the store to increase sales and maximize returns on space and stock
  • Balance effective service levels with meeting required productivity benchmarks

Drive shopkeeping disciplines

  • Ensure that loss and control procedures are put into action
    Store and rear spaces must be kept clean, safe, and orderly at all times.
    Ensures that the store is prepared for trade
    Establishes and maintains health and safety standards inside the store

Manages stock effectively

  • Maintain profitability, safeguard brand values, and provide effective service levels by making sure all operational processes are properly established and kept up to date.
    Depends on the availability of floors
    Controls the policy for the changing room
    Makes sure that all merchandise is ticketed and that all marketing standards are followed constantly
    Looks into stock outs and provides comments to relevant parties
    Locate and separate issues related to quality
    Make sure all the necessary ticketing is in place, and that launches are announced and distributed promptly.
    Verify and oversee the proper handling of consumer returns.
    Conduct and aid with inventory counts

Minimizes Shrinkage through

  • Bringing dishonesty including fraud or shrinkage, to the attention of your supervisor or the shrinkage hotline

    Locate and control the sources of departmental shrinkage.

Requirements

  • Background in education: bachelor's degree in a business-related discipline

    The capacity to adapt and migrate freely beyond African borders.
