Job Purpose

Growing and overseeing a clientele of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and retail banking customers will fall under the purview of the Relationship Manager – Retail. By providing customers with individualised financial solutions that meet their specific requirements, this job aims to grow the bank's asset base (deposits) and liability base (loans). A strong grasp of banking products, strong relationship management abilities, and the capacity to propel company growth are all necessary for this role.

Key Responsibilities

1. Client Relationship Management

• Connect with small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and retail clients on a deep and lasting level.
  Assist clients in identifying their banking needs and providing suitable recommendations.
  Serve as the principal liaison with clients, guaranteeing them complete satisfaction through the provision of first-rate service.

2. Business Development and Revenue Growth

• Find fresh clientele and business prospects to increase the bank's assets.
  By actively engaging with consumers, the bank can increase its deposits, loans, and other products.
  Work together with in-house groups to find qualified prospects and upsell them on financial services.

3. Credit and Risk Management

• Evaluate clients' creditworthiness and carry out due research.
  The portfolio's credit risk exposure should be monitored and managed.
  Keep everyone in line with the rules and regulations that the bank has put in place regarding credit.

4. Customer Service and Support

• Resolve customer concerns and questions in a timely manner.
  To effectively manage a portfolio, it is necessary to keep detailed records and paperwork.
  Prompt, courteous, and expert financial services will go a long way towards satisfying customers.

5. Strategy and Market Analysis

• Keep yourself updated on the latest industry news, competitor moves, and market trends.
  Assist upper management in making strategic decisions by providing your thoughts and suggestions.
  Support the creation and implementation of business strategies aimed at increasing the value of the portfolio.

Qualifications and Experience

• Requires a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, banking, or a closely related discipline.
  Experience in retail banking with a focus on small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) or a related field, preferably in the last three to five years.
  Extensive experience in building clientele and overseeing investment portfolios.
