We are looking to add a Regional Operations Manager to our team in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, to help us support our expanding business. As the head of security operations in Dar es Salaam and the surrounding regions, the Region Area Operations Manager is responsible for providing strategic direction and oversight to all relevant stakeholders. To take charge of all operational tasks and responsibilities while simultaneously ensuring adherence to all business policies and contractual obligations.

Some of the Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinating the overall operations in Dar es Salaam and the surrounding areas.
  Providing direction and guidance to the Head of Security and clients while supervising and conducting security surveys on the properties of both current and potential clients
  Monthly payroll reconciliation with actual work performed
  Administering operating personnel leave and relieving procedures.
  Sending out and checking that all assignments adhere to business security rules
  Monitor the operation of the motor vehicles and motorbikes to ensure their efficient and effective use.
  Working in tandem with HR to ensure that the security force remains disciplined.
  Supplying and overseeing all operational machinery in accordance with allotted funds in coordination with the accounting and inventory departments
  Assessing the training requirements of the Operations staff and providing guidance to the Head of Security if needed
  To improve performance, you should seek your clients' physical and procedural weak spots and show them where they are.
  Notifying the Head of Security Operations immediately of any inadequate observation and taking immediate action to rectify the situation
  Make sure the guard force is well-trained so they can meet international standards.
  Providing direction to the Head of Security Operations or clients as needed while supervising or conducting security surveys on the properties of current and potential clients.
  Monthly payroll reconciliation with actual work performed
  Managing the processes for relieving and administering leave to operational workers
  Sending out and checking that all assignments adhere to business security rules
  Monitor the operation of the motor vehicles and motorbikes to ensure their efficient and effective use.
  Working in tandem with HR to ensure that the security force remains disciplined.
  Supplying and overseeing all operational machinery in accordance with allotted funds in coordination with the accounting and inventory departments
  Please ensure that all uniformed staff posts within your area of responsibility have their point of work risk assessments completed and saved in a site file.
  Make sure that every uniformed employee in your jurisdiction receives a toolbox lecture once a month.
  Please ensure to evaluate all uniformed employees under your jurisdiction on a monthly basis.
  All customer sites within your purview must have security risk assessments conducted and reviewed at least once a year.
  Make sure that all regions and Tier 1 projects have risk management registers, such as HRIA and environmental sheets, and that these registers are evaluated every year.
  For any potentially dangerous materials handled at the branch office, check that proper risk assessments have been conducted and that all staff members involved have received enough training.
  Keep a waste register and be sure to document all garbage transfers.
  Verify the proper folder structure for each form before uploading it to the SharePoint server.
  Furthermore, management may delegate additional responsibilities to you.

  Qualifications and experience

• An additional benefit is membership in a professional organisation in addition to a bachelor's degree in any subject and certification in commercial security.
  Experience as a manager in the commercial security industry for at least five years
  Proficiency in the technical aspects of facility management and commercial security.
  Strong understanding of financial models and a track record of successfully meeting ambitious financial and non-financial goals.
  Proven track record of helping people grow professionally, with an emphasis on coaching and mentoring.
  Proficiency in ICT.
