Tanzania's national examinations are administered under the direction of the National Examination Council of Tanzania (NECTA), an independent government organization. NECTA was created in 1973 by the Ministry of Education and Vocational Training and is an essential tool for evaluating students' qualifications and academic achievement. The Primary School Leaving Examination (PSLE), Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (CSEE), and Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (ACSEE) are among the tests that NECTA administers.
