Overview or Summary of the Job

The Bulyanhulu Gold Mine is looking for three experienced Jumbo Operators who will fit in with Barrick's culture and bring about change in his team and the company as a whole. In addition, the successful candidate will make sure that all mining activities are planned and carried out in a safe and cost-effective way to meet goals, as required by BGML Mining Safety Standards, Policies, and Procedures.

Important Positions of Authority and Responsibility

Execute appropriate pre-inspection.
Trim tools into the assigned region.
Set up the equipment for drilling.
Face readiness and marking off.
Ground support installation: bolt, mesh, cable Bolt
Drill as instructed.
List uncoupled tools and have them taken out of the workplace.
Make sure every tool is in excellent condition.
The goal is to document and present drilling performance.
Track and balance drilling cycle and efficiency.
Check the cleanliness of the blasting holes.
To engage in charging actions
Help trainees with their development of skills and knowledge.
Make sure to record and examine each event according to the BARRICK guidelines.
Emphasising raising work effectiveness and productivity while reducing costs by means of better operational methods, technical, practical, and field help in several working areas of the mine should be given.

Qualification or education

Qualifying in mining or a related technical field backed by actual mining experience.
Certification in single and double booms

Information and abilities

There are plans, scheduling, and time management.
Risk assessment and hazardous identification
Know how to drill for both face and repair projects.
shown capacity for rapid development (200m per month per jumbo)
The candidate should have seen automation in an underground environment.

Expertise

You must have a minimum of four years of experience operating single and double booms.
Experience in best practice high-speed mechanised underground mining; experience running machinery in a sizable underground mining operation
Potential shortlist applicants will discuss their exposure to experience as a previous trainer, which is absolutely necessary.
