Purchasing to add to our team in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, we are looking for a meticulous and effective officer. Key member of our procurement department, you will be in charge of overseeing the buying process, vendor negotiations, and guaranteeing timely acquisition of products and services for our company.Tanzania's career possibilities

Create and put into use buying plans to maximise cost reductions and increase effectiveness.
Examine market trends and investigate possible new products and suppliers.
Bargain with suppliers on terms and pricing to guarantee best conditions.
From requisition to delivery, control the procurement process to guarantee prompt ordering fulfilment.
Work with internal stakeholders to learn their needs and find suitable goods or services.
Record purchases, pricing, vendor details, and accuracy
Track inventory to maximise stock control, then work with warehouse staff.
Create and examine procurement reports to monitor supplier performance, spending, and savings.
Guarantee adherence to corporate policies, local laws, and international trade rules.
Create and keep close ties with suppliers and vendors.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a closely allied discipline
Two to three years in supply chain management, buying, or procurement
Mastery of inventory control tools and procurement applications
Excellent analytical abilities capable of data interpretation and generation of perceptive reports
superb negotiating techniques and the capacity to get good deals with suppliers
exceptional verbal and writing abilities
highly focused on correctness and efficiency, detail-oriented
Understanding supply chains best practices, pricing policies, and industry trends
awareness of foreign trade rules, especially those pertinent to Tanzania
Contract negotiations and vendor relationship management experience
Professional certification in procurement (e.g., CPSP, CIPS) is preferable; ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven setting
The incumbent has to be a registered member of the Procurement and Supplies Professional and Technologists Board (PSPTB).

Years three to four

Extensive knowledge of delivering technology risk assurance assignments in line with audit and/or other assurance approaches over a broad spectrum of companies. Tested knowledge in risk management, assurance, and IT audits. Experience in spotting, reducing, and monitoring country-specific legal needs and finds recommendations reporting and assurance governance reporting.
