JOB TITLE: Technical Senior Analyst
Regarding the position

Perform Essential Job Duties:
The Design of the Project
Assist with Private Sector Engagement through Technical and Coordination Means
Developing a Portfolio and Planning a Project
Assist with the development and revision of technical assistance project TORs, taking into account technical, financial/economic, and stakeholder feedback. Things like:
Gathering data and doing analyses to guide TOR creation.
Finding and interacting with the right people—government departments and ministries, businesses, nonprofits, and others—to get their thoughts and make sure everyone is on the same page.
Keeping in touch with ETP's regional and national coordinators to coordinate efforts and find ways to work together on other projects.
Bringing the TOR to a close in coordination with the ETP Program Management and Fund Management groups.
Help choose the consultants or partners who will carry out the project by evaluating their proposals.
Assist in developing the PSA TAF project portfolio through researching new energy-related areas of study, pinpointing possible areas of concentration, analysing requirements, and gauging private sector enthusiasm.
General Assistance with Tasks and Organising
As needed, offer operational and technical assistance to the implementing partners/consultants. Connecting them with stakeholders, planning how to carry out tasks, and evaluating the results of the project are all part of this process.
Participation in meetings pertaining to work carried out under PSA TAF is expected of the incumbent. These meetings may include gatherings with implementing partners, SEACEF to review progress and strategy, and other relevant stakeholders. Meeting highlights will be documented by the incumbent.
Assemble data, conduct interviews, and make presentations (such as slide decks) that ETP can utilise to spread the word about PSA TAF or to inform forum attendees.
Programs, projects, and policy connections between PSA TAF and ETP's coordinated efforts, as well as larger energy-related initiatives supported by development partners, both current and future.
As needed, lend a hand to other ETP endeavours, especially those whose goals coincide with those of the PSA TAF. Giving input on project deliverables, attending workshops, and engaging with stakeholders are all examples of possible support activities, among others mentioned by ETP.
Write portions of ETP's reports that pertain to the work and outcomes of the PSA TAF.
Any problems or hazards with any of the PSA TAF projects should be reported to the ETP Program Management and Fund Management teams so that they can come up with solutions.
Encourage Involvement from the Private Sector
Find important private sector players (such as developers, investors, and trade groups) that are involved in the PSA TAF's target areas, and get in touch with them.
Compile a list of influential Vietnamese, Indonesian, and Filipino businesspeople and keep it up to date.
Requirements for education, experience, and language:
Academic preparation:
Graduate status from an accredited university is necessary, as is a degree in engineering, economics, finance, business administration, or a closely related discipline.
A bachelor's degree (or its equivalent) in one of the aforementioned areas plus two (2) years of related work experience could be enough to replace a master's degree.
Prior work experience:
Working knowledge of energy efficiency, smart grids, investments, financing, market research, business development, or renewable energy sources is necessary, as is a minimum of two (2) years of experience in a related field.
Prior involvement or work in the private sector is necessary.
You should have a background in effectively managing varied stakeholders in complicated contexts.
We recommend the following experiences:
Skills in managing projects, administering, developing and managing strategies, serving as a liaison for strategic initiatives, and coordinating with donors or partners.
I have extensive experience planning and leading meetings, discussions, and consultations.
Previously worked in the Philippines, Vietnam, and Indonesia.
Before joining UNOPS, I worked for a UN organisation.
Need for Language Proficiency:
Proficient command of the English language, both written and spoken, is essential.
