Job Vacancy: HR Specialist

Job Purpose:
Supporting the HR department across several operations depends mostly on the HR specialist. This role calls for great knowledge of HR concepts, great communication abilities, and good management of private data. The HR specialist will guarantee legal and organisational compliance and help to ensure the effective running of human resources systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Recruitment and Onboarding:

Post job positions, analyse resumes, set up interviews, and do candidate reference checks to help in recruitment.
Plan how new hires enter the company to guarantee a seamless integration. Among the duties are writing offer letters, running orientation programmes, and making sure all required documentation is turned in right away.

HR Administration:

Both physically and electronically, keep accurate and current staff records that guarantee confidentiality and adherence to corporate regulations.
Help with benefits management, payroll processing, and guarantees of prompt processing of employee pay.
Control changes in employee status, including promotions, transfers, and terminations, by guaranteeing appropriate paperwork and adherence to business regulations.
As asked by top management, get ready several HR-related reports and documentation to guarantee operational effectiveness.

Administration of Benefits and Compensation:

Support the management of employee benefits programmes like health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks so that staff members are correctly registered and informed about their rights.

Education and Advancement:

Help to coordinate and execute training and development initiatives, therefore boosting staff members' professional development and matching training initiatives with corporate objectives.

Personnel Relations:

To foster a good workplace, help management and settle employee problems, concerns, and conflicts.
Maintaining a fair and open approach, make sure employee complaints are addressed quickly and satisfactorily.

Performance Management:

Help create Balanced Scorecards (BSC) for staff members and guarantee timely completion of performance evaluations compliant with corporate policies.
Help to efficiently close performance management systems by closely monitoring development with managers.

Compliance and Legal Support:

Maintaining current with legislative changes, make sure HR procedures follow relevant labour rules and corporate policy.

HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) Responsibilities:

  • Encourage actively the application of QHSE policies and practices, guaranteeing compliance with safety rules.
    Work with management to build a safe workplace, control hazards, and stop HSE events.

Communication and Working Relationships:

  • Internal: Work with every department to assist HR projects and guarantee seamless running of operations.
    External: Create and preserve ties with colleges and training facilities for the recruitment of talent.

Job Requirements:

  • Experience: One must have a minimum of two years of background in HR or allied roles. Four years' experience is ideal.
    Education: One must have a bachelor's degree in HR, labour relations, or a closely allied discipline.
    Preferences are HR certificates such as CIPD, SHRM, or HRCI.
    Effective communication depends on one being proficient in English and Swahili.
    Administrative chores and report preparation call for great mastery of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
