Running under the well-known "Bwana Sukari," Kilombero Sugar Company Limited (KSCL) is the biggest sugar producer in Tanzania. Playing a major role in the sugar business of Illovo Sugar Africa Group, KSCL is having activities in South Africa, Malawi, Mozambique, Eswatini, Zambia, and Tanzania. Illovo Sugar Africa is the top sugar producer in Africa. The business is a completely owned affiliate of the worldwide food, ingredients, and retail corporation listed on the London Stock Exchange, Associated British Foods plc (ABF).

Strategically placed on either side of the Great Ruaha River in the Morogoro Region, Msolwa and Ruembe are two sizable sugar estates and mills under management by Kidatu, Kilombero Valley, KansasCL. Under the Kilombero Growers Scheme, the corporation runs 26,000 hectares of sugarcane, 10,000 hectares owned by KSCL and 16,000 hectares under smallholder farming.

 With 45% of its sugarcane from around 8,000 independent farmers and 55% from company-owned farms, KSCL generates 126,000 tons of sugar annually. With its large supply network, the enterprise has greatly helped the Kilombero Valley to build more than 200 companies, therefore boosting the local economy.

1. Category Buyer (1 Position)

Location: Kilombero, Morogoro Region
Job Type: Full-time

Role Overview

Managing the procurement process for given categories will be the responsibility of the category buyer, therefore guaranteeing cost-effectiveness, supplier relationship management, and contract negotiations to maximize procurement strategies.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and carry out strategies for category sourcing to raise effectiveness.
  Research markets to find chances for cost control.
   Create and preserve close ties with important vendors.
   Bargain over supplier agreements and guarantee procurement policy compliance.
  Track and evaluate supplier performance always for development.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or allied discipline.
