Job Opportunity: Transport Officer
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the daily operations of the transport department to ensure smooth fleet management.
- Plan and schedule transport routes, ensuring timely deliveries and efficient fuel usage.
- Oversee vehicle maintenance and ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.
- Supervise and train transport staff (drivers, coordinators) to maintain high operational efficiency.
- Keep accurate transportation records and logs for audits and compliance.
- Address customer concerns about transportation services and resolve issues quickly.
- Use GPS tracking devices to monitor vehicle movements and prevent any safety or route violations.
- Work with GPS and other fleet service providers to resolve issues and maintain high customer satisfaction.
- Prepare and report logistic plans (yearly, monthly, weekly, and daily) to meet customer needs.
- Monitor fleet performance regularly (daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly) and suggest improvements using the PDCA approach.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Transportation Management, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in fleet management or transport operations.
- Strong knowledge of transport regulations and safety standards.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to think critically and solve problems under pressure.
