Job Opportunity: Transport Officer

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the daily operations of the transport department to ensure smooth fleet management.
  • Plan and schedule transport routes, ensuring timely deliveries and efficient fuel usage.
  • Oversee vehicle maintenance and ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.
  • Supervise and train transport staff (drivers, coordinators) to maintain high operational efficiency.
  • Keep accurate transportation records and logs for audits and compliance.
  • Address customer concerns about transportation services and resolve issues quickly.
  • Use GPS tracking devices to monitor vehicle movements and prevent any safety or route violations.
  • Work with GPS and other fleet service providers to resolve issues and maintain high customer satisfaction.
  • Prepare and report logistic plans (yearly, monthly, weekly, and daily) to meet customer needs.
  • Monitor fleet performance regularly (daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly) and suggest improvements using the PDCA approach.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Transportation Management, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in fleet management or transport operations.
  • Strong knowledge of transport regulations and safety standards.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to think critically and solve problems under pressure.
