Job Purpose

Kilombero Community Charitable Trust (KCCT) is on the lookout for an Agriculture Training Officer. If you're passionate about sustainable sugarcane farming and helping Agricultural Marketing Cooperative Societies (AMCOS) grow, this role might be for you.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

  • Training Needs Analysis: Identify skill gaps and training needs among AMCOS members, farmers, and key partners involved in sugarcane production.

  • Training Delivery: Run lively, interactive training sessions tailored for AMCOS to ensure valuable learning.

  • Performance Evaluation: Measure the impact of training through assessments and feedback to track knowledge and skills improvement.

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Work with various internal and external teams, government bodies, and local communities to keep training aligned with broader industry goals.

  • Continuous Improvement: Regularly update training materials and methods to keep up with new tech, industry trends, and best practices.

  • Community Outreach: Reach out to local communities and farmers, offering education and support to enhance sugarcane farming methods, sustainability, and community growth.

  • Record Keeping: Maintain detailed records for all training activities, including materials, costs, and attendance.

Job Qualifications and Experience

  • Education: Diploma in Applied Agricultural Extension, Agriculture, or a related field.

  • Training Experience: Background in training delivery in diverse settings, with a commitment to inclusivity and cultural respect.

  • Industry Experience: At least 3 years working in sugarcane farming.

  • Expertise: Solid knowledge of the sugarcane industry and AMCOS grower operations.

  • Sustainability Focus: Strong dedication to eco-friendly agricultural practices.

  • Skills: Effective problem-solving, organization, and time management skills.

  • Communication: Proficient in English and Swahili, both written and spoken.

Terms of Service: This is a contract-based role.
