Position: Tanzanian Cooks
Company: One Nature Hotels – Arusha Office, Tanzania
Responsibilities
- Get the kitchen ready – Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking tools.
- Prep ingredients – This includes chopping veggies, peeling, and cutting meat.
- Cook up delicious meals – Use different cooking tools, whether it’s pots, pans, or grills.
- Keep an eye on the food – Stir or flip food as needed while it cooks.
- Presentation matters – Make sure dishes look amazing before serving.
- Maintain a clean kitchen – Keep everything sanitized and organized.
- Store ingredients right – Ensure all food and other supplies are properly stored.
- Quality check – Double-check ingredients for freshness and quality.
- Manage stock – Track kitchen supplies and place orders when running low.

Requirements and Skills
- Cooking experience – Proven experience as a cook.
- Comfortable with kitchen tools – Experience with cutting tools, pots, pans, and baking gear.
- Know your cooking methods – Familiar with grilling, baking, boiling, and other cooking techniques.
- Sanitation is key – Ability to follow cleanliness standards in the kitchen.
- Team player – Works well with others in the kitchen.
- Good communication – Very strong communication skills.
- Physical stamina – Ability to stand and move around for long periods.
- Education – High school diploma or equivalent. A culinary school diploma is a bonus!
