Job Title: Storekeeper

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily storeroom operations and stock levels.
  • Collaborate with supervisors and department heads to forecast inventory needs.
  • Organize and store materials in bins, racks, shelves, or yard areas.
  • Issue materials, supplies, and tools, ensuring proper documentation via SAP.
  • Oversee stock-taking activities, including parts, oils, tires, and fuels.
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for purchasing and stock management.
  • Prepare requisitions based on stock levels and reorder requirements.
  • Record and verify goods received against delivery notes, presenting details to the supervisor.
  • Maintain accurate records of invoices and receipts in dispatch logs.
  • Enforce safety rules to ensure a safe working environment for all staff.
  • Manage the return of incorrect items and tools/machinery to suppliers.
  • Record and reference all gate passes as per company policies.
  • Handle additional tasks as assigned by the Supervisor or Manager.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement, Records Management, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar role, ideally in logistics or warehousing.
  • Proficiency in SAP software (preferred).
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Basic math skills for inventory calculations.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols for handling hazardous materials.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
