Job Title: Storekeeper
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily storeroom operations and stock levels.
- Collaborate with supervisors and department heads to forecast inventory needs.
- Organize and store materials in bins, racks, shelves, or yard areas.
- Issue materials, supplies, and tools, ensuring proper documentation via SAP.
- Oversee stock-taking activities, including parts, oils, tires, and fuels.
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for purchasing and stock management.
- Prepare requisitions based on stock levels and reorder requirements.
- Record and verify goods received against delivery notes, presenting details to the supervisor.
- Maintain accurate records of invoices and receipts in dispatch logs.
- Enforce safety rules to ensure a safe working environment for all staff.
- Manage the return of incorrect items and tools/machinery to suppliers.
- Record and reference all gate passes as per company policies.
- Handle additional tasks as assigned by the Supervisor or Manager.
Qualifications:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement, Records Management, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in a similar role, ideally in logistics or warehousing.
- Proficiency in SAP software (preferred).
- Familiarity with inventory management systems.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Basic math skills for inventory calculations.
- Knowledge of safety protocols for handling hazardous materials.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
