Job Description

We’re looking for a Senior Sales Manager to join our team at Boomplay! Your main focus will be growing and managing a strong client portfolio in the African market. You’ll work on driving advertising sales for display ads on Boomplay and help brands achieve their marketing goals. If you have solid experience in the African market, know brand marketing inside out, and have managed big-name clients before, we’d love to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities

  1. Build and grow client relationships: Manage a portfolio of top clients in Africa, ensuring each spends over $10,000 monthly on ads.
  2. Craft tailored ad strategies: Work with clients to create ad plans that boost conversion rates and deliver results.
  3. Focus on brand goals: Understand clients’ brand objectives and suggest marketing strategies to enhance their presence.
  4. Collaborate with teams: Work with internal teams to execute campaigns, track performance, and provide optimization tips.
  5. Stay ahead of trends: Analyze the market to find new business opportunities and share insights that keep Boomplay ahead in digital advertising.

Requirements

  1. Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business Administration, or a similar field.
  2. Experience: At least 5 years in digital media ad sales, with existing connections in the African market being a big plus.
  3. Marketing expertise: Strong understanding of brand marketing and delivering custom ad solutions.
  4. People skills: Excellent communication and negotiation abilities to manage high-profile clients.
  5. Tech skills: Experience using CRM tools like Salesforce or Zoho for tracking and managing client relationships.
  6. Teamwork: Thrive in cross-cultural environments and work well under pressure.
  7. Language skills: Fluent in English; knowing French or Swahili is a bonus.
