Job Opening: Short Term Assignment - Research Assistants

Background

PATH’s Diabetes CarePak Project is all about making diabetes care easier and safer with a bundle of essential supplies that help with insulin administration and self-care.

Phase 3 of the project involves a randomized study to see how the Diabetes CarePak impacts health and costs for people with diabetes in 16 Tanzanian districts. Here’s where it’ll happen: Mbarali DC, Chunya DC, Kyela DC, Mbeya DC (Mbalizi), Mafinga DC, Iringa MC, Vwawa DC, Kwimba DC, Misungwi DC, Chato DC, Tarime TC, Maswa DC, Bariadi TC, Tabora MC, Shinyanga MC, and Songea MC. The study will run for six months, starting in July 2024.

This work will involve up to 500 interviews with individuals at selected facilities. Half of these places will receive the CarePak monthly for six months (the "intervention" group), while the other half will continue their usual care (the "control" group). Interviews will include questions about life quality and other health aspects. PATH will provide guidelines, tools, and data submission instructions.
