UNCDF focuses on making public and private financing work for the poorest communities in 47 of the world’s least-developed countries. With a focus on the "last mile" of development, UNCDF tackles the most critical financial challenges, ensuring that resources reach those who need them most.
In Tanzania, UNCDF runs projects like the Tanzania Inclusive Digital Economy (TIDE) and Data for Digital Agricultural Transformation (D4DAT), both targeting financial inclusion, digital transformation, and improved livelihoods for smallholder farmers.
Responsibilities
1. Programme Management & Coordination
- Oversee program delivery and ensure high-quality outcomes.
- Work with implementing partners to address performance gaps.
- Coordinate efforts among stakeholders to boost collaboration.
- Supervise consultants and ensure efficient knowledge transfer.
2. Technical Support & Capacity Building
- Provide technical assistance to project partners.
- Facilitate capacity-building sessions and stakeholder training.
- Develop case studies and project briefs.
3. Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E)
- Guide data collection and analyse key performance indicators.
- Provide progress updates and support reporting needs.
- Ensure the inclusion of social and gender metrics in evaluations.
4. Building Partnerships
- Strengthen relationships with government agencies, local authorities, and other stakeholders.
- Represent UNCDF in relevant meetings to identify new partnership opportunities.
5. Policy Advocacy & Resource Mobilization
- Contribute to policy development in financial inclusion and digital transformation.
- Organise workshops to share project insights and lessons learnt.
