Job Summary
Are you passionate about making a difference? As a Program Development Officer at Qatar Charity, you'll help us grow and sustain our impact. Your role will focus on crafting proposals, building strong donor relationships, and uncovering new funding opportunities.
We're looking for a proactive communicator who can connect with international donors and partners while driving meaningful change.
Key Responsibilities
1. Proposal Development
- Take charge of writing project proposals, including concept notes and detailed plans, ensuring they meet donor guidelines and align with our goals.
- Work with program teams to gather key data and insights for proposals.
- Oversee the proposal review process and ensure timely submissions to donors.
2. Donor Coordination and Liaison
- Be the main point of contact for donors, keeping communication clear and consistent.
- Share updates with donors about project milestones, challenges, and achievements.
- Plan and host donor visits, making sure their expectations are met.
3. Exploring Funding Opportunities
- Research and identify new grants, partnerships, and funding prospects.
- Keep track of donor trends to align our strategies with emerging opportunities.
- Build a database of potential funding sources and monitor deadlines.
4. Strategic Planning and Development
- Support the development of our strategic plan, focusing on fundraising and resource mobilization.
- Provide input to ensure programs align with donor priorities and funding opportunities.
5. Documentation and Reporting
- Keep detailed records of proposal submissions, donor communications, and funding agreements.
- Prepare reports for senior management on proposal progress, donor engagement, and funding pipelines.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Development Studies, Social Sciences, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
- Experience: 3-5 years in proposal development, donor relations, or fundraising, especially in NGOs.
- Proven track record of securing funding from international donors.
- In-depth knowledge of donor expectations, funding mechanisms, and proposal processes.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Strong organizational skills to meet tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant tools.
