Our community initiatives focus on supporting the most vulnerable, while our healthcare programs prevent lifelong disabilities, especially through maternal and newborn healthcare (MNHC) support and obstetric fistula repairs. Our Maternity and Newborn Wing in Dar es Salaam acts as a crucial referral center for high-risk deliveries across Eastern Tanzania.

Job Overview

  • Primary Role: Provide high-quality physiotherapy services to clients, including counseling and educational support, following CCBRT standards.
  • Support & Training: Work with community workers (LSTs) to identify disability needs, provide education to support teams, and actively engage in team meetings.
  • Collaborative Efforts: Partner with fellow physiotherapists, plan group sessions for specific client needs, and ensure clients receive suitable equipment like postural support aids.
  • Reporting & Referrals: Prepare performance reports, track equipment needs, and create personalized rehab plans. Refer clients to other CCBRT services when needed to maximize outcomes.
  • Team Commitment: Punctual, dedicated, and team-oriented, helping ensure smooth collaboration within the rehabilitation team.

Who We’re Looking For

  • Qualifications: Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Physiotherapy.
  • Certification: Licensed by the Medical Council of Tanganyika and a member of Tanzania’s Physiotherapists Association.
  • Skills & Experience:
    • Proficient with electrotherapy machines.
    • Specialized training in areas like CP or back pain management is a plus.
    • Comfortable with computer software and confident in presenting information.
    • Fluent in both English and Swahili.
    • Positive, proactive, and eager to make a difference.
