Comprehensive Community Based Rehabilitation in Tanzania (CCBRT) is on a mission to deliver accessible, specialized healthcare in Africa. As Tanzania's largest local provider of disability and rehabilitation services, CCBRT empowers individuals with disabilities and their families to improve their quality of life by ensuring access to essential medical and rehabilitation services. Beyond disability support, we’re heavily involved in maternal and newborn healthcare (MNHC), including specialized care for high-risk deliveries and emergency obstetric procedures. Our Maternity and Newborn Wing serves as a key referral center in Dar es Salaam and the Eastern Zone of Tanzania.
In line with these services, CCBRT is strengthening its Finance team by adding a Payroll Administrator.
Role Overview
The Payroll Administrator leads all payroll operations at CCBRT. You’ll manage payroll processing, ensuring that salaries, benefits, and statutory payments are accurately handled each month. Key duties include:
- Payroll Processing: Oversee and manage payroll transactions for accuracy and timeliness, including salaries, benefits, and deductions.
- Record Management: Keep detailed records and reports for payroll transactions.
- Invoice Coordination: Work closely with Accounting to manage invoices and ensure timely payments.
- Monthly Reporting: Manage payroll openings and closings each month, and provide timely financial analysis.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with Tanzanian Tax and Labour laws and support audit processes with payroll documentation.
- Team Collaboration: As part of the HR team, you’ll also assist in finance-related tasks.
What We’re Looking For
To be a great fit for the Payroll Administrator role, here’s what you’ll need:
- Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Commerce, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: 3-5 years in a similar payroll role.
- Certifications: NBAA Tanzanian registration is a plus.
- Skills: Knowledge of payroll functions, including preparation, balancing, payroll taxes, and compliance with payroll software (ARUTI experience is a bonus).
- Tech Savvy: Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Detail-Oriented: Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
