Position Purpose:
We’re looking for an IT Officer to help keep our IT systems running smoothly. Your job will be to ensure the security, availability, and efficient operation of all IT infrastructures while offering technical support to users and other tech staff. You will also assist in improving IT systems, managing incidents, and deploying new technologies and updates according to company policies. Any unresolvable issues will be escalated to our IT services provider.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues (e.g., computers, printers, networks).
- Set up and install new equipment (PCs, servers, etc.).
- Provide support for server and local network installations (LAN, WAN, VPN).
- Maintain and support physical tech infrastructure, including radio, security, and wireless systems.
- Respond quickly to major incidents to minimize service downtime.
- Regularly apply security patches and updates to keep systems secure.
- Assist in planning and implementing IT projects (like new facilities).
- Evaluate and deploy new technologies and tools.
- Keep an accurate IT inventory and maintain IT records.
- Prioritize IT queue and tasks effectively.
- Collaborate with other departments to identify IT needs.
- Ensure compliance with IT security policies.
- Provide training for employees on software use and data security.
- Manage and administer Microsoft 365 services (including user/group and license management).
- Support Office 365 tools like Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, and Office apps (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).
Qualifications/Experience:
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 2-3 years of relevant IT experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365.
- Strong report writing skills.
