About the Corporate Advisory Department

TSL’s Corporate Advisory Department focuses on providing advisory services to a variety of clients, including government entities, NGOs, and private companies. The department’s goal is to deliver strategic financial guidance to support clients in achieving growth, optimizing capital, and navigating financial markets.


Job Summary

As the Head of Corporate Advisory, you’ll lead TSL’s advisory team and drive business growth. This role focuses on hitting performance targets, increasing client satisfaction, and building innovative services. You’ll be responsible for overseeing the unit’s strategy, business development, and client relationships, ensuring all processes align with TSL’s goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop Advisory Strategies: Formulate strategies to grow TSL’s advisory services in line with market trends and financial targets.
  • Identify New Opportunities: Foster relationships with potential clients and develop new financial products and advisory services.
  • Market Research & Analysis: Conduct thorough research on economic trends, company performance, and regulatory changes to inform recommendations.
  • Client Engagement: Prepare and present advisory pitches, and assess clients’ suitability for equity or debt transactions.
  • Investor Outreach: Organize roadshows to attract institutional investors for upcoming offerings.
  • Risk Assessment: Ensure clients face appropriate risk levels based on their profiles.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all advisory activities meet CMSA standards.
  • Maintain Client Relationships: Provide top-notch service, handle client queries, and aim for high satisfaction.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor and train the advisory team to maintain high productivity.
  • Promote Services: Represent TSL at industry events to expand the client base.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years in a managerial or leadership position
  • Experience in Corporate Advisory, Capital Raising, or Business Management (7+ years)
  • In-depth knowledge of Financial Modelling, Valuation, and Due Diligence
  • Postgraduate degree in Business/Finance (CFA or related certification is a plus)
  • Understanding of Tanzanian Capital Markets and related regulations
  • Skilled in preparing and analyzing business plans and feasibility studies
