Position: Driver Trainer (01)
Location: Kilombero and Kilosa Districts, Morogoro Region
Are you a skilled driver trainer looking for a new challenge? Unitrans Tanzania Limited is hiring! This full-time role focuses on delivering in-house training for drivers and operators while ensuring safety and efficiency on the job.
Job Purpose
To deliver structured in-house training courses for drivers and operators and monitor the results to enhance performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Train and Coach: Conduct training sessions and provide on-the-job guidance for drivers and operators.
- Promote Safety: Teach machine management techniques to improve safety and work efficiency.
- Work Guidance: Offer direction based on customer-provided instructions.
- Safety Inspections: Perform monthly workplace safety checks to identify hazards.
- Competency Assurance: Ensure no one operates machinery without proper training and certification.
- Collaboration: Work with Safety, Health, and Environmental representatives during inspections.
- Incident Management: Participate in investigations when accidents or incidents occur.
- Equipment Checks: Oversee machinery inspections and ensure findings are recorded by qualified personnel.
- Health & Safety Compliance: Enforce compliance with relevant legislation and company protocols.
- Reporting: Prepare and maintain training reports.
- Customer Relations: Foster strong relationships with clients.
Qualifications
- Minimum secondary school education.
- Certified Trainer or Driver Instructor.
- Defensive Driving Certificate (preferred).
- At least 3 years of experience as a driver trainer.
- Ability to operate trucks, tractors, graders, and similar vehicles.
- Valid driving license (E, G, F classes).
- Strong knowledge of Tanzania Road Traffic Act and related regulations.
