Unitrans Tanzania Limited is hiring an Assistant Contract Manager to oversee and improve operations at a sugar estate.

What You’ll Do

As the Assistant Contract Manager, your job is to ensure smooth and efficient operations. Here’s a breakdown of your key responsibilities:

  • Oversee Cane Haulage Operations: Manage mechanical harvesting and related tasks.
  • Support Other Operations: Take care of road maintenance, crop spraying, and fertilizer application.
  • Maximize Resources: Make the best use of drivers and vehicles to boost productivity.
  • Ensure Safety Standards: Follow all safety, health, and environmental regulations.
  • Workplace Inspections: Conduct monthly inspections and collaborate with Safety, Health, and Environmental Representatives.
  • Manage Budgets: Prepare operational budgets and keep expenses within limits.
  • Customer Relations: Build strong connections with clients and provide top-notch service.
  • Quality Compliance: Stick to quality management policies and procedures.
  • Report Preparation: Create daily and monthly reports as needed.
  • Problem Solving: Quickly address and resolve customer concerns.

What You Need

  • Education: A degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Skills: Basic computer knowledge.
  • Experience: 3-5 years in a senior supervisory role.
  • Personality: Able to work independently and handle pressure.
  • Nationality: Must be a Tanzanian citizen.
  • Age: 45 years or younger.
