What You’ll Do
Training and Development
- Complete a four-year structured apprenticeship program, including classroom learning and on-the-job training (OJT).
- Work towards obtaining TCAA licenses to advance your career in aircraft maintenance.
Hands-On Learning
- Work alongside experienced technicians to gain engineering skills and learn about maintenance processes.
- Independently or collaboratively handle assigned tasks, showing increasing proficiency.
Technical Skills
- Learn to read and interpret maintenance manuals and technical data for task planning.
- Inspect aircraft structures and systems (e.g., hydraulics, fuel systems) using visual checks and precision tools.
- Replace or repair damaged components with tools like hand tools, pneumatic equipment, and structural repair gear.
Documentation and Safety
- Record inspection findings and tasks in maintenance logs, meeting high-quality standards.
- Follow strict health and safety protocols, ensuring a clean and organized workspace.
Team Collaboration
- Support mechanics with mechanical duties such as diagnosing issues, disassembly, and reassembly of systems.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety.
Your Responsibilities
- Maintain a detailed logbook, documenting your progress throughout the apprenticeship.
- Keep the workspace tidy and adhere to professional standards in appearance and conduct.
What You Need to Succeed
- A Diploma or higher in Aeronautical Engineering, Aircraft Maintenance Engineering, or a related field.
- Familiarity with computer applications.
- A strong focus on safety, with the ability to manage tasks efficiently under pressure.
- A proactive attitude, team spirit, and commitment to accountability and transparency.
- Prior experience in aircraft maintenance is an added advantage.
