Chief of Party

Position Title: Chief of Party
Location: Dar es Salaam, Tanzania
Reports to: Tanzania Team Leader

CCP is hiring for an anticipated USAID-funded project in Tanzania.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
The Chief of Party (COP) will be responsible for leading the vision, strategy, technical direction, and financial management of the project. The COP will be the main point of contact for USAID/Tanzania, the Ministry of Health (MOH), and other key partners. The COP will ensure the project meets all compliance standards, including USAID and Johns Hopkins University (JHU) policies. This role involves overseeing project implementation, communications, monitoring, evaluation, and financial reporting. The COP will be a Key Personnel position approved by USAID.

Specific Duties:

  • Set the project vision and strategy with USAID and other stakeholders.
  • Lead project development and implementation.
  • Ensure deliverables are met on time, with high quality and evidence-based approaches.
  • Liaise with USAID, MOH, PO-RALG, and other partners.
  • Foster collaborative relationships with stakeholders.
  • Oversee financial and programmatic reporting.

Deputy Chief of Party

Position Title: Deputy Chief of Party

The Deputy Chief of Party (DCOP) will provide technical leadership and help guide the project’s strategic direction. The DCOP will support the Chief of Party (COP) in managing relationships with USAID/Tanzania, the Ministry of Health (MOH), and other key partners. The DCOP will ensure the project complies with USAID and Johns Hopkins University (JHU) standards.

Specific Duties:

Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning Director

Position Title: Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning Director

General Summary/Purpose:
The MEL Director will oversee the monitoring, evaluation, learning, and research activities of the project. They will lead the development of the Activity Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning Plan (AMELP) and ensure that all monitoring and evaluation systems are running effectively.

Specific Duties:

  • Lead the creation and updating of the AMELP and monitoring tools.
  • Collect and analyze data to monitor project activities.
  • Lead data collection and research for SBC program development.
  • Ensure proper documentation of monitoring activities.
  • Coordinate with USAID, MOH, and other partners.

  • Provide leadership in applying innovative and prioritized SBC approaches.
  • Ensure gender, youth, and social inclusion are integrated into SBC activities.
  • Coordinate with local partners and stakeholders to improve SBC impact.
