Job Title: Agribusiness Manager

  • Reports to: General Manager
  • Location: Iringa

Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain positive relationships with input suppliers and farmers, supporting continuous farm production and improving crop quality.
  • Oversee the Delayed Sales and Storage (DSS) program to encourage effective post-harvest practices.
  • Manage the Trading Desk (TD) portfolio and lead a skilled sales force to drive business growth.
  • Find reliable markets for farmers' produce and create valuable market connections.
  • Assess and expand market opportunities for input supplies, storage, and crop sales.
  • Lead technical support initiatives, helping farmers diversify and strengthen their farming methods.
  • Keep accurate records of all input supplies for farmers.
  • Improve the input supply voucher system and ensure timely input delivery.
  • Monitor farmers’ crop yields and guide them on best practices to improve output.
  • Develop and introduce new products to support farmers.
  • Create a detailed business plan for inputs and farm produce sales.
  • Manage storage facilities and ensure profitable, safe storage practices.
  • Prepare the company’s annual budget and work plan.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Business, Marketing, or related fields.
  • Experience:
    • 5+ years of experience in agricultural business management.
    • Skilled at building partnerships with input suppliers and farmers.
    • Proven success in post-harvest management (DSS program).
    • Experienced in team management with a focus on growth and innovation.
    • Strong analytical skills for assessing market needs and organizing records.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Knowledge of best agricultural practices.
    • Ability to improve crop yields through inputs and guidance.
  • Innovation:
    • Skilled in developing new products for agriculture.
    • Experience with subsidy programs in agriculture.
  • Business & Budgeting:
    • Capable of creating business plans and managing budgets.

Job Title: Accountant

  • Location: Iringa
  • Reports to: Chief Finance Officer

Responsibilities:

  • Manage financial tasks like accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and budgeting.
  • Prepare financial reports, statements, and analyses for management.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and organizational policies.
  • Assist with audits and donor reports.
  • Provide financial insights to support the NGO, agribusiness, and microfinance operations.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fields.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years in accounting, preferably in NGO, agribusiness, or microfinance sectors.
  • Skills: Proficient with accounting software, detail-oriented, analytical, and well-organized.

Job Title: Loan Officer (2 positions)

  • Location: Iringa
  • Reports to: Microfinance Manager
  • Transport: Motorcycle (provided)

Responsibilities:

  • Engage with community members to build strong connections.
  • Assess loan applications, verifying applicants’ needs and eligibility.
  • Educate clients on loan terms, repayment schedules, and financial practices.
  • Conduct regular follow-ups to monitor loan progress and repayments.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related fields.
  • Experience: At least 2 years in customer relations, with basic financial knowledge.
  • Requirements: Valid motorcycle license; ability to travel to remote areas.

Job Title: Field Officer – Market Development (2 positions)

If you’re excited about agribusiness and want to connect farmers with high-quality agricultural products, this role is for you! As a Field Officer, you’ll work directly with farmers to provide fertilizers, seeds, and crop solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Expand the market for fertilizers, sprays, seeds, and other agricultural products.
  • Build strong relationships with farmers and agribusiness clients.
  • Educate farmers on product benefits and proper application.
  • Research local market trends and needs for agricultural inputs.
  • Keep detailed sales records and gather client feedback.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, or related fields.
  • Experience: Strong sales and communication skills with 2+ years of experience in agribusiness.
  • Requirements: Valid motorcycle license; willingness to travel extensively.
