Key Responsibilities
- Flight Planning: Prepare and file flight plans for all scheduled flights.
- Supervise Aircraft Refueling: Oversee refueling, ensuring all details are logged accurately.
- Flight Monitoring: Check weather conditions and communicate with air traffic control before and during flights.
- Aircraft Command: Take command of the aircraft if instructed by the Pilot-in-Command or if they are incapacitated, ensuring flight safety.
- Cabin Comfort: Maintain comfortable cabin and cockpit temperatures throughout the flight.
- Documentation: Complete Voyage Report forms, Technical Log entries, and speed calculations, ensuring the Captain signs off after each flight.
- Night Station Security: Confirm that control and engine locks are secure at night stations.
- Manual Preparation: Prepare and review TGFA Operations Manuals regularly.
- Operations Control: Recommend procedures and policies for Operations Control.
- Policy Review: Examine and propose updates to operating policies for TGFA aircraft.
- Additional Duties: Perform any other tasks assigned by your supervisor.
Qualifications and Experience
- Education: Advanced-level Secondary Education Certificate with two principal passes in Physics, Mathematics, or Geography (or equivalent qualifications).
- License: Valid Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL) issued by the Tanzania Civil Aviation Authority (TCAA) with Instrument Rating on multi-engine, turboprop, or turbojet aircraft.
- Flight Experience: At least 3,500 flight hours, including 1,000 hours as Pilot-in-Command.
