Position: Senior Officer II – Agribusiness
Department: Retail and SME Banking
Reports To: Principal Officer II – Agribusiness
Location: Dar es Salaam

What’s the Role About?

In this role, you’ll help grow our agribusiness loan portfolio for smallholder farmers, bring in new clients, and support agri-retail deposits. You’ll work closely with different teams to engage customers and build partnerships that drive our assets, income, and liabilities growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Boost Growth: Lead efforts to expand our Agri-smallholder assets, income, and liabilities. Network with branch teams and relationship managers to connect with agri-smallholders.
  • Assess & Recommend Loans: Review agribusiness credit applications and recommend for further analysis and approval.
  • Support Development: Propose strategies to develop smallholder agribusiness and ensure quality loan approvals.
  • Monitor Loan Performance: Keep track of loans and manage risks, ensuring they meet TCB’s quality standards.
  • Customer Service & Sales: Offer high-quality support to clients and promote TCB products.
  • Collaborate on Product Development: Partner with our product team to review and suggest new products, keeping our services competitive.
  • Report Preparation: Create regular and special reports on Agri-SMEs for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Other Duties: Take on additional tasks as directed by your supervisor.

Who We’re Looking For:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in fields like Banking, Economics, Business, Finance, or Agricultural Science.
  • Experience: At least four years in the banking or financial sector, with two years in agribusiness.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of Tanzanian banking, agribusiness, and agriculture value chains. You’ll need solid communication, analytical, and customer relationship skills.
