Key Responsibilities

  • Operate plant circuits within set parameters, following metallurgical guidance.
  • Produce quality work, focusing on safety and productivity.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and report equipment issues.
  • Collect and submit samples on an hourly or shift basis.
  • Handle and mix reagents safely.
  • Operate mobile equipment in the plant.
  • Follow all safety and environmental guidelines.
  • Perform hourly checks and analyses of plant valuables.
  • Conduct precise shift handovers.
  • Engage in unplanned and planned shutdowns.
  • Assist in mill relining tasks.
  • Identify hazards and recommend solutions.
  • Maintain plant cleanliness and perform general housekeeping.
  • Participate in training, performance reviews, and skill development.

Qualification Requirements

  • Education: Form Four (IV) Secondary Education; a Diploma in Mineral Processing is a plus.
  • Certification: Full Technician Certificate (FTC) in Mineral Processing or similar is advantageous.
  • Knowledge: Familiar with the Mines Health & Safety Act.

Experience and Skills Needed

  • 1+ Year: Process operation experience in mineral processing.
  • 2+ Years: Experience with plant operations, chemical handling, and reagent mixing.
  • 2+ Years: Mobile equipment operations experience is a plus.
  • TSF Operations: Experience in this area is ideal.
  • Polywelding Skills: Preferred.
  • Experience with: Crushing, grinding, cyclone/classification, and heavy media separation.
  • Mill Reline: Experience a bonus.
  • Stockpile Management: Experience preferred.
  • Communication and Documentation Skills: Strongly valued.
  • Computer Skills: Proficiency in Excel and other software.
