Job Purpose: Medical Supplies Officer (Medicines)

The Medical Supplies Officer will handle the selling and marketing of medical supplies, ensuring all products meet high standards for clients. This role is ideal for someone proactive and highly skilled in communication, aiming to hit departmental goals through solid connections and successful outreach.


Responsibilities

  • Customer Care: Respond quickly to all customer issues, sorting complaints within 24 hours. If unresolved, report to the Head of Medical Supplies for additional support.
  • Networking and Contracts: Establish partnerships with organizations for medicines supply contracts, building strong client relationships across various medicine products.
  • Securing and Retaining Partners: Identify and secure contracts with companies and organizations where TMHS can deliver medicines. Work on retaining these partnerships to maintain a reliable network.
  • NGO Partnerships: Build a wide network to secure projects with NGOs, aiming for TMHS to be the main supplier of medicines for these initiatives.
  • Compliance and Standards: Ensure TMHS meets all required permits, registrations, and accreditations related to medicines and drug supplies.
  • Home-Based Care Coordination: Develop connections with hospitals, firms, and community centers to arrange medicines delivery for home-based care patients when needed.
  • Tender Management: Oversee the tender application process, from submission through to successful completion.
  • Reporting and Records: Provide regular updates on departmental progress to the Head of Medical Supplies, maintaining secure records.
  • Pharmacy Management: Oversee TMHS pharmacies, ensuring all deliveries meet TMHS standards.
  • Additional Tasks: Handle any other tasks assigned as part of the role.

Educational Requirements

  • Pharmacy Diploma – Required.

Experience Needed

  • Minimum of 3 Years – Previous experience as a Medical Supplies Officer in a reputable facility.
  • Registration – Must be registered with the Pharmacy Council of Tanzania.
