Who We Are
The East African Crude Oil Pipeline (EACOP) project is a midstream development in Uganda and Tanzania. It includes a nearshore Marine Storage and Export Terminal (MST). Once completed, the EACOP Company will operate a 1,443 km electrically heated crude oil pipeline. This pipeline will transport oil from Kabaale – Hoima in Uganda to the Chongoleani Peninsula near Tanga Port in Tanzania, where it will be exported to international markets.
Job Dimensions / General Job Description
As the Maintenance Coordinator, your job will be to manage and streamline the maintenance plans across several perimeters: PS1, PS4, PS5, and MST. You will coordinate with loading operations and upstream feeders and work closely with various maintenance teams, logistics, and other EACOP-related activities to ensure everything runs smoothly. Your role will help make sure tasks are done safely, on time, and effectively. You’ll have the opportunity to grow your skills by overseeing the quality of planned tasks and managing the maintenance activities portfolio. You’ll also adjust planning based on site access and weather conditions and review all procedures and workflows tied to maintenance coordination.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Help meet the HSE (Health, Safety, Environment) goals set by EACOP.
- Lead maintenance coordination meetings.
- Work with the team to turn “campaign-able” tasks into actionable plans.
- Attend planning meetings that cover maintenance, inspection, engineering, and construction.
- Analyze past activities to improve future coordination.
- Ensure Work Packs, Procedures, Permits to Work, Risk Assessments, and Toolbox Talks are all part of the planning process.
- Contribute to the 2-year planning vision and the 90-day task schedule.
- Make sure the right resources are available when needed by Support Entities.
- Play a key role in both the 90-day and 5-week planning.
- Keep the maintenance teams informed about any changes that may affect their tasks.
- Issue T-REX.

Qualifications / Experience Required
Academic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
Experience Required:
- 4-6 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry or similar, with experience in managing multi-site planning and activities.
- Strong English skills, both written and spoken.
- Experience with CMIMS (Computerized Maintenance & Inspection Management Systems).
- Knowledge of maintenance contract management.
- Familiar with planning software and IT workflow tools.
- Experience managing full shutdowns on industrial sites.
- Professional Engineer registration with the ERB.
- Proficiency in Primavera or similar tools.
