Overview
Are you passionate about conservation and want to make a real difference? The USAID Tuhifadhi Maliasili (“Preserve Natural Resources”) Project invites young people, both college graduates and those without formal education, to join our first round of internships. We focus on empowering young people and women, especially those from underrepresented communities. By involving youth as partners in conservation, we’re working to protect wildlife corridors and keep biodiversity alive for generations.
Our project includes a Youth Mentorship Program aimed at inspiring the next generation of conservationists. This year, we’re rolling out this program in key locations across Tanzania, including Kwakuchinja Wildlife Area, Amani-Nilo Forest Corridor, Ruaha-Rungwa Corridors, and Nyerere-Selous-Udzungwa Elephant Corridor. Here, young participants (mentees) interested in conservation and natural resources will be paired with experienced mentors who are experts in these fields.
If you’re passionate about Natural Resources Management or Biodiversity Conservation, share your enthusiasm in your cover letter when applying!
