About Aqua-Farms Organization (AFO)

Aqua-Farms Organization (AFO) is a non-profit registered in Tanzania under the NGO Act, 2002. Established in 2016 and officially registered on July 6, 2017 (Registration No. ooNGO/0009297), AFO works to improve financial access, raise awareness about aquatic conservation, and push for economic growth led by local communities.

Internship Roles and Responsibilities

Recruitment Support

  • Help post job openings, screen resumes, and schedule interviews.

Onboarding

  • Assist with the onboarding process for new hires, including preparing materials and coordinating orientations.

Employee Records Management

  • Maintain and update employee files, making sure they comply with data protection laws.

HR Projects

  • Assist with special HR projects like employee engagement surveys or training programs.

Data Entry

  • Enter and manage data in HR systems or databases.

Policy Research

  • Conduct research on HR best practices and policies.

Communication

  • Help draft internal communications, newsletters, or employee announcements.

Employee Relations

  • Support staff by responding to inquiries and helping organize team-building activities.

Training Assistance

  • Aid in organizing training sessions or workshops.

Administrative Tasks

  • Handle everyday tasks like filing, answering calls, and managing documents.

Other Duties

  • Complete any additional tasks as assigned.

Knowledge & Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of Tanzanian labor laws, employment legislation, and regulations.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Law, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field.
  • Quick learner with basic MS Office and Excel skills.
  • Work experience is a bonus.
