Job Overview
Your main job here will be to support the development of key reports used for the bank’s financial and operational needs. You’ll be working with data, making sure reports are accurate and timely, so they can guide important decisions and meet regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
So, what would your day-to-day look like? Here’s a breakdown:
- SQL Query Development: You’ll be using your SQL skills to pull data from Oracle databases. These queries will be the foundation of the reports you’ll create.
- Report Customization: Using data from the T24 Core Banking system, you’ll design and tweak reports so they meet the business’s requirements.
- Collaboration: You won’t be working in isolation. You’ll team up with business analysts and other stakeholders to figure out what they need from the reports and make sure your work matches those expectations.
- Data Validation: It’s not enough to just create reports—you need to make sure the data is accurate. This will involve some troubleshooting if things don’t look right.
- Optimizing Queries: As you build queries, you’ll focus on making them as efficient as possible, ensuring they perform well even when handling large datasets.
- User Support: Once the reports are ready, you’ll help users understand how to use them, providing documentation and even training if needed.
- Ad-hoc Reporting: The business might ask for specific reports on the fly, and you’ll be there to generate those quickly.
- System Upgrades: Whenever the bank upgrades its systems, you’ll be involved in migrating and testing reports to make sure everything works smoothly.
- Data Modeling: You’ll also work on data models and other tools that help the bank visualize and understand the value of its data.
- Performance Forecasting: Developing models to track and predict the bank’s performance is a big part of this role. Your work will help forecast trends and guide strategic decisions.
