About CCBRT
CCBRT is all about making healthcare accessible to everyone. Based in Dar es Salaam, they focus on supporting the most vulnerable in our communities. As Tanzania’s largest local provider of disability and rehabilitation services, CCBRT prevents lifelong disabilities and is heavily involved in maternal and newborn healthcare (MNHC). Their Maternity and Newborn Wing is a referral center for high-risk and emergency deliveries in Dar es Salaam and the Eastern Zone of Tanzania.

What You’ll Be Doing
As the Chief Business Development Officer, you’ll be working closely with the CEO and other executives to help grow CCBRT’s revenue and diversify their income streams. Your main mission? Create sustainable ways to support CCBRT’s important work in providing specialized health services to those who need it most.
Here’s a quick overview of your responsibilities:
- Lead Business Development: Oversee the Business Development division and ensure strong relationships with current partners while finding new revenue opportunities.
- Monitor Industry Trends: Keep an eye on market trends and research new opportunities to inform CCBRT’s business strategies.
- Strategic Planning: Work with other departments to develop business plans that align with CCBRT’s goals and mission.
- Implement Strategies: Carry out the business development strategy, which includes marketing, resource mobilization initiatives, and managing relationships with government entities.
Who We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone energetic and passionate about healthcare. Here’s what you should bring to the table:
- Education: A Master’s degree in Business Administration or Healthcare Management is highly preferred, but a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, or a related field is also required.
- Experience: You should have at least 10 years of experience in business development, preferably in healthcare, non-profit, or social enterprise sectors.
- Leadership Skills: A solid background in managing cross-functional teams and driving strategic initiatives is key. We’re talking about at least 5 years in senior leadership roles.
- Revenue Generation: Proven success in generating revenue, building strategic partnerships, and expanding market presence is a must.
- Negotiation Skills: Experience in negotiating and closing high-value deals or partnerships will help you shine in this role.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical abilities and market research skills are needed to inform business strategies effectively.
- Communication: Excellent communication and negotiation skills are essential. You should be able to articulate your vision clearly and influence stakeholders.
- Global Perspective: Experience working in international markets or with global organizations will give you an edge.
