Position: Branch Managers
Department: Retail and SME Banking
Reports to: Manager, Branch Network
Location: Upcountry
Position Objective
We’re looking for driven Branch Managers to lead operations, drive growth, and ensure customer satisfaction in our branches. If you’re up for managing branch efficiency and profitability, this could be the role for you.
Key Responsibilities
- Set Branch Goals: Plan the branch budget and strategy for strong profitability.
- Boost Sales: Pursue sales goals to meet and exceed customer needs.
- Lead the Team: Coordinate with retail officers to align on objectives and campaigns.
- Team Collaboration: Hold meetings and training to keep branch teams united.
- Track Progress: Monitor and evaluate branch objectives to stay on course.
- Build Customer Relationships: Regularly meet customers to grow loyalty.
- Promote SME Products: Offer tailored solutions like business loans and cash management for SMEs.
- Guide SME Clients: Provide advice on financial matters to help clients grow.
- Partner with Government: Work with government agencies for their banking needs.
- Maintain Public Relations: Represent the bank well with the public and government.
- Follow Policies: Comply with bank policies, laws, and procedures.
- Minimize Risk: Address operational and environmental risks in branch operations.
- Organize Branch Needs: Ensure there’s enough cash, supplies, and security.
- Auditing and Compliance: Conduct checks, respond to audit reports, and follow through on recommendations.
- Administrative Tasks: Manage branch administration, including supplies and staff development.
- Staff Management: Plan leave, training, and rotation for support staff.
- Evaluate Team: Conduct periodic staff performance evaluations.
- Anti-Money Laundering (AML):
- Verify and identify customers.
- Keep records and perform Quality Assurance on accounts.
- Report any suspicious transactions.
- Raise AML awareness through staff training.
- Other Duties: Perform additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Banking, Economics, Business, or related fields.
- Experience: At least 8 years in banking or financial institutions, including 3 years in operations, SME, or credit management.
