Loan Officer
Loan Officer at Tujijenge Tanzania, Dar es Salaam
Position: Loan Officer
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Identify potential loans to grant to existing loan portfolios and external clients through sales and other awareness methods.
- Achieve monthly execution targets set by the management and maintain a 100% collection record.
- Carry out a comprehensive credit evaluation to decide on the creditworthiness of clients, the loan amount, and, if needed, the security required as per the company guidelines and practices.
- Prepare the file with the credit proposal, including all supporting documents that are required to be submitted to the head office for approval.
- Closely monitor monthly collections to ensure the quality of the loan portfolio.
- Carry out periodical follow-ups and post-evaluations as per the guidelines laid down in the operational manual.
- Provide information to the management on competitors, market developments, and changes to improve the product.
- Report detected malpractices, irregularities, and non-compliance to the management immediately.
- Attend to other reasonable official duties assigned by the management that are not mentioned above.
- Comply with all laid-down company policies and procedures, controls, and applicable practices.
- Adhere to the CBSL guidelines with regard to AMLTF (Anti-Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing) and CCP (Customer Protection Policy).
Skills, competence, and experience are required.
- A bachelor’s degree in a related social science field
- Minimum of three years of experience in the position.
- Strong understanding of lending practices and financial regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and strong analytical skills
- Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office
- Experience with loan origination software
- Multilingual abilities.
Customer Service Officer/Receptionist
Customer Service Officer/Receptionist at Tujijenge Tanzania

Position: Customer Service Officer/Receptionist
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Acceptance of cash or checks from customers, checking accuracy, and updating the system accordingly.
- Handle payments at the teller booth as per the given guidelines and procedures.
- Manage branch petty cash as per policy and procedure and update the system daily.
- Prepare the day-end balancing sheet and hand it over to the accountant or branch manager for their verification.
- Maintain proper registers and records required in the cash office (cash differences, PD checks, key transfers, etc.).
- Provide information to prospective walk-in clients and telephone inquiries on products.
- Deliver an exceptional level of service and maintain both internal and external customers of the branch, ensuring total customer satisfaction among all customers.
- Dealing with customers in relation to repayments: Follow up on falling-due reports.
- Safeguard the confidentiality of all information pertaining to the company and the LOLC Group obtained externally or internally during employment and refrain from divulging the same to any third party.
- Maintain a neat and organized reception area.
- Assist in administrative tasks and data entry as required.
QUALIFICATIONS :
- A bachelor’s degree in education finance, banking, accounting, or a related field
- Minimum of three years of experience in a customer service role.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficiency in computer applications and office software
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Fluency in English and Swahili is required.
