The Overview of Tazama Pipeline
From Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, to Ndola, Zambia, inside the Copperbelt Province, close to the Democratic Republic of the Congo border, the Tazama Crude Oil Pipeline runs Comprising two sections—a 954-kilometer (593-mile) segment with an 8-inch (200 mm) diameter and a 798-kilometer (496-mile) segment with a 12-inch (300 mm) diameter—spanning about 1,710 kilometres (1,060 miles), the pipeline is Along the path, key sites include Dar es Salaam, Morogoro, Iringa, Mbeya, Chinsali, Mpika, Kalonje, and Ndola.

Goal and Strength
Built in 1968, the pipeline was meant to economically reasonably carry crude oil from Tanzania's coast to Zambia. Its yearly carrying capacity was first 1.1 million tonnes. Still, capacity dropped to 600,000 tonnes yearly by 2002.

Infrastructure Tazama Pipelines Limited owns and runs, including a tank farm in Dar es Salaam with six storage tanks—three with a combined capacity of 36,000 cubic metres and another three with 41,000 cubic metre capacity. Along the pipeline there are also seven pump stations, five in Tanzania and two in Zambia.

Possession
Overseeing pipeline operations, Tazama Pipelines Limited, with headquarters in Ndola, Zambia, has an office in Dar es Salaam. With "Mafuta" meaning "oil" in Kiswahili, the company's name, TAZAMA, is Tanzania Zambia Mafuta. Tanzania and Zambia possess different shares in the company.

Tazama Pipelines Limited, an interstate organisation owned by the United Republic of Tanzania and the Republic of Zambia, deals with the transportation of petroleum products from Dar es Salaam to Ndola, Zambia. Qualifications:

2. JOB TITLE  Station Mechanic – One (1) Post

Qualifications:

  • Certificate of Secondary Education
  • FTC/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Equivalent
  • At least two (2) years of working experience
  • Fluent spoken English and Swahili language

3. JOB TITLE Mechanical Technician – One (1) Post

Qualifications:

  • Certificate of Secondary Education
  • FTC/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Equivalent
  • At least two (2) years of working experience
  • Fluent spoken English and Swahili language

4. JOB TITLE  Electrical Technicians – Two (2) Posts

Qualifications:

  • FTC/Diploma in Electrical Engineering or Equivalent

5. JOB TITLE Plant Operators – Two (2) Posts
